To be owned by the community and run by the community

Move once at retirement

The vision is for a facility offering all residents a full range of retirement care:

  • Day care centre

  • Warden supported homes and apartments

  • Accommodation for couples where only one needs care

  • Light nursing care

  • Full nursing care

  • Dementia wing

This wide range of facilities will all be on one site, to avoid late-in-life moves, and couples having to be split up.

Day care centre

Before becoming an Oakington Retirement Community resident, the Day Care Centre offers an opportunity to check out the facilities and the community.

And this will offer additional opportunity for connections between the retirement community and the village community.
